Delegates at the world's first anti-landmine conference are calling on Russia, China and the US to stop landmine production.
Representatives from over 100 countries are in Nairobi to find ways to eradicate the weapons, which its estimated kill around 20-thousand people a year.
The conference has produced a five year action plan to further the 1997 Ottawa treaty banning the weapons.
Un Secretary-General Kofi Annan made an urgent appeal.
Anti personnel mines still kill and maim innocent people everyday and hold back entire communities in working their way out of poverty. Anti personnel vehicle mines pose a great threat too -- we cannot rest until all landmines are cleared and these indiscriminate weapons banished forever.
